Deepa Narayanan Sashindran a fine versatile artiste of the Kuchipudi dance style of this generation mastered the art form for more than 3 decades initially under guru the renowned Kuchipudi exponent Smt. Manju Barggavee since the age of 8 as her prime disciple and few new choreographies (Portryal of Draupadi in Agnijyotsna dance ballet produced by KPF & few solo repertoires )under Guru Vempati Ravi Shankar.

She is a thinking Artist with creative organisational abilities and has received lot of accolades for her vivacious dance technique, spellbound performances not only in India but North Americas, UAE and natural charm for the Kuchipudi idiom that sets her apart as an offbeat artiste of the generation .

Currently donning multiple roles, she is engaged in teaching aspirants, presents solo and that of her creative ensemble, conducts inspiring workshops/lec-demo, curates dance festival Natya Parampara Utsavat at Kuchipudi Parampara Foundation, Bangalore a Non profit trust that she founded with eminent advisory committee to propagate Indian art forms and has been empanelled with Central Ministry of Culture for festivals of India Abroad, Empaneled member of International art organisation Spicmacay, Recognised artist of Kannada & Culture Govt of Karnataka.

Apart from dance Deepa is also an Professional degree Law Graduate, Human Resources Specialist who served in start-ups that grew to be top corporate houses whose process and practices are benchmark in software industry, Entrepreneur & founder of human capital management services firm Karma Kreators that executed for top software brands for five years which she relinquished to serve her passion Kuchipudi Art.

KPF Ensemble initiated their performance with Saint Annamacharya kriti "Vandeham" on Lord Venkateshwara in ragam Hamsadhwani, khanda chapu talam. Music has been set by Shweta Prasad and choreographed by Deepa Narayanan, performed by students Vinu Ambadi, Kalamandalam Roshin Chandran, Kalamandalam Bilahari and Prathibha. The next item was 'Chandrasekaram,' a composition of Bellary Brothers in praise of Lord Shiva, first with a shlokam in Kapi ragam followed by musical lyrics in Chandrakauns ragam set to adi talam choreographed by Deepa Narayanan. It was performed by the girls' ensemble of Dr. Spandana Bhardwaj, Kalamandalam Bilahari, Sreelatha Girish and Pratibha. 'Ramayana Sabdam' which is in ragam Mohanam, choreographed by Dr. Vempati Chinna Satyam set to adi talam was performed by the male ensemble of Girish Kumar, Vinu Ambadi, Kalamandalam Roshin Chandran, Byju, Haneesh and Deepak. The students were good in their footwork, Vinu displaying talent for the future, girls in their expressiveness and the male students displayed high energy with élan.
